The hotel is very small - I think 18 rooms which added to the personal feel. The pool was very refreshing after being in the ocean all day. Loved the decor - really felt like I was actually in Mexico and not in a large international hotel/resort. The rooms are fine - not marble/gold however very large, huge bed, spotlessly clean with fantastic views. We were in room 301 which was full oceanview. thebillylids, TripAdvisor, Aug 2010
We stayed at Playa Maya for 8 nights (May 3- June 6) and had a wonderful time. We had a deluxe balcony room (#301). The balcony had two chairs and a small table and the view was wonderful... The room is basic but had everything we needed – small fridge with some welcome drinks, flat screen TV with tons of channels, AC worked great (via remote control), safe and plenty of storage space. We never had issues with hot water. The rooms were very clean and housekeeping did a great job every morning. Along with the cute towel animals, they left a large bottle of water in your room each day and there was a water cooler on the second floor for refills. KANDKIN, TripAdvisor, June 2010
